Overview

The second of a two-part series on hypothermia, Pathophysiology & Treatments of hypothermia. Dr. Fidler is the burn specialist who brings many years of burn expertise to the discussion so we can better understand how to prevent hypothermia and treat it. This is a very important topic for both pre-hospital and hospital arenas.

Objectives
The student will be able to identify the following after completing the education:

  1. The student will be able to list ways to prevent and treat hypothermia.
  2. The student will be able to identify why it’s important to prevent hypothermia when caring for burn patients.
  3. The participant will be able to identify treatments, both in the pre-hospital and hospital arenas, that can help treat hypothermia.
